The Motorboat of the show awards were published today at the Helsinki Boat Show. Yamarin Cross 49 Bow Rider was awarded as the winner of the Open Motorboat class.
The winners of the Motor and Sailing boat of the Helsinki Boat Show were published today. The winner of the Open Motorboat Class is Yamarin Cross 49 Bow Rider. Other finalists in this class were Suvi 5700 SR Duo and Finnmaster. The Yamarin Cross 49 Bow Rider is an excellent all-purpose boat. This new model has a spacious interior for its size, featuring a large open bow area and the most capacious open cockpit area in its size class, affording plenty of leg room for passengers on the aft bench. Standard equipment includes cushions, swim ladders and a door between the consoles. The boat is authorized to carry 6 persons.Yamarin 49 Bow Rider has 7 altogether sitting places and it is authorized to carry 6 persons. Under backbench there is a place for two fuel tanks. I BB-side there is spacious, lockable glove box. Drivers console has a place for mounted 8” chartplotter. Thanks to offshore seats, it is easy to drive the boat also in standing position.Optimized strakes are giving excellent fuel economy, more speed, better course stability and are reducing leaning against the wind.Length 4.86 m, width 1.96 m, weight approx. 490 kg, engine power recommendation 40–60 hp. Rigg: long, design category C.Yamarin Cross boats are made of 5083 aluminium, which is 30% stronger than the 5754 aluminium normally used in leisure boats, and more resistant to corrosion.
Yamarin Cross boats feature an entirely novel type of hull structure. This structure enables handling characteristics previously only expected of fibreglass boats, and the interior spaces are considerably larger than in other aluminium boats of the same size category. The new structure also minimises the amount of hull noise.
The aluminium-hulled Yamarin Cross line was launched for the 2011 season in the autumn of 2010. The model range will contain six models in 2013: in addition to the new boats just unveiled, the 53 Bow Rider and 53 Center Console, launched in 2012, and the 63 Bow Rider and 61 Center Console, launched in 2011. Ähtäri-based Campnou Oy manufactures the hulls, while Fenix Marin Oy in Valkeakoski is responsible for deck manufacture and assembly. Yamarin Cross is a trademark of Konekesko Oy. Yamarin Cross boats have been granted the Key Flag symbol, the symbol of Finnish know-how, by The Association of Finnish Work.
