Valencia Boat Show (October 31st to November 6th – 2016)
– The Valencia Boat Show to be held in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I in front of the EDEM headquarters and the former Alinghi base.
– A wide range of new boats and two days of sea trials are just some of the highlights planned for the revamped Valencia Boat Show.
The newly revamped Valencia Boat Show, celebrating its eighth edition in 2016, will take place from October 31st to November 6th. One of the changes includes relocating the event in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I to the front of the EDEM headquarters. The Boat Show will be held opposite the former Alinghi base, the headquarters of the EDEM business school and Lanzadera building, the business accelerator that supports entrepreneurial leaders, both of which were founded by Juan Roig, President of Mercadona.
One of the reasons for the change is due to the large number of boats that will be exhibited on the water. Visitors can now take part in sea trials and on water boat tests (by prior appointment) from October 31st – November 1st. “We needed more space on the water for easy boat manoeuvre and space for the exhibitors” explains event organisers. There is also wider exhibition space on the actual dockside allowing for the increase in size and distribution of stands at actual sea level.
The entrance to the Valencia Boat Show will be next to Tinglado 2 and the area which extends past the EDEM headquarters, the Lanzadera building, former Alinghi base and the old America’s Cup docking area. The cost for one ticket to access the show will be 5 euros from Monday to Friday and will be free on the weekend.
A rich display of new boats
Another key change introduced by the new Valencia Boat Show is the presence of major European boatyards, including Azimut, Bavaria, Bénéteau, Hanse and Jeanneau, to name a few. These will present a wide range of new boats including the latest 2016 designs that have just been unveiled at the Cannes Boat Show.
Furthermore, companies like Helimotor and Staynautica will exhibit a select fleet of Sacs and Starfisher motor boats. Leading marine engine brands such as Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Pasch y Cía and Sole Diésel have also confirmed that they will be present at the Valencia Boat Show. Sailing schools Dragut Nou, Avante and clubs including the Real Club Náutico de Valencia will also attend.
Visitors will also be able to find the best insurance for their boat with the following insurance services: Metrópolis, Yachtsman or El Seguro de mi barco (My Boat’s Insurance). Furthermore, they will be able to discover the latest trends in nautical fashion with Barcos y Cosas (Boats and things), the official distributer for Helly Hensen or Siete Lunas de Mar, as well as have the chance to buy all kinds of on board accessories and electronics.
