The new Pershing 62’ was launched: the first model put to sea in Fano
It is ready to be admired in the upcoming boat shows, starting in Cannes. Pershing has reached another goal, confirming that the brand symbolizes ‘Made in Italy’ excellence.
Fano – On the 18th of July, the Marina dei Cesari hosted a new important moment in Pershing’s 30 years of history: the launching of the first Pershing 62’ model. 18.94 metres long and 4.80 metres wide, the newest model in the Pershing range. Created by the yacht designer Fulvio De Simoni, in collaboration with AYTD (Advanced Yacht Technology & Design) and the team of engineers, architects and designers of the Ferretti Group, the Pershing 62 touched the sea for the first time with great joy and the pride of all the Pershing team. Throughout the coming weeks it will be tested and the on board preparation will take place. The vessel will then be ready for the official launching and the delivery, during the Festival de la Plaisance of Cannes, an international event which will be held from 10th to 15th September. One month later, the Pershing 62 will also make its debut for the Americas at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show taking place October 31 through November 4th.
The Pershing 56’ and Pershing 58’, two of the most successful models of the brand, naturally led to the new Pershing 62’ which catches the eye immediately due to its sleek and streamlined profil. The hull line and superstructure are designed to give the boat a streamlined profilewith an aggressive and sporty spirit, enhanced by the shape of hull glazing, a typical characteristic of the new Pershing direction.
The new model, designed to guarantee optimal performance at sea, is available with two engine versions: a double MTU 10V 2000 M84 with a power of 1381 mhp, or two MTUs – present on the first unit – 10V 2000 M93, with a power of 1524 mhp. With the larger option, the Pershing 62’ reaches a top speed of 46.5 knots and a cruising speed of 42 (preliminary data). The standard version of the Pershing 62’ is equipped with Searex surface propellersand upon request, it is possible to install an Autotrim system.
The first Pershing 62’ unit was manufactured with a standard layout, including three cabins – the Owner’s suite, a VIP and guest cabin at the bow, and three bathrooms with separate showers. The guest bathroom, which has a double entrance from the cabin and from the lobby on a midway floor, can also be used as a day toilet. Along the port-side wall there is the galley, which receives additional light from an opening in the ceiling. The alternative version has two cabins, the Owner’s suite and a VIP cabin, while the guest cabin is replaced by a living room furnished with a queen size sofa bed. Both versions have a crew cabin which can be reached from the cockpit, with a single bed and integrated bathroom.
Stefano Campanelli, Sales Director EMEA of the Ferretti Group stated: “Just over a month from the launching of the tenth model of Pershing 115’, the flagship of the fleet, we proudly experience the launching of the new Pershing 62’, confirming the dynamism of the brand and the importance of the productive premises in Mondolfo, where the model was entirely manufactured. With this new boat, we confirm Pershing’s willingness to meet the needs of our owners, highly focusing on the personalization of spaces even on smaller sized boats”.
