HANSEYACHTS AG BENEFITS FROM ABOVE-AVERAGE DEMAND IN THE FIRST QUARTER 2013/2014: INCOMING ORDERS INCREASED BY 85 % TO 27.6 MILLION EURO
Greifswald, 14 October 2013 – HanseYachts AG reported above-average demand in the first quarter 2013/2014 (July to September), with an increase in incoming orders of 85 % compared with the same period in the previous year to a total of 27.6 million Euro. “The large number of incoming orders in the first quarter 2013/2014 is thanks mainly to the successful launch of our multi-brand strategy and the development of models in line with the market requirements”, explains Dr. Jens Gerhardt, CEO of HanseYachts AG. “We are now seeing the benefits of our investments in research and development to the tune of 2.5 million Euro in the 2012/2013 business year.” Our current best-seller is the Hanse 345. The Hanse 575 presented last autumn has also exceeded all expectations. With almost 80 ships sold in one year, it is a real success story for industrial series boat production in this size class. More than 30 of the new Dehler 38 from spring 2013 have been sold. In the coming months, the recently presented Varianta 37 will keep the production team in Greifswald even busier. The latest new developments, Hanse 505 and Moody 54 Decksalon, also met customers interest at boatshows in Hiswa (Holland), Cannes (France) and Southampton (England).
