The Local Police will enhance its road and traffic management services as well as prevention and control activities. In particular, the areas of Foce, Brignole, Kennedy, Corso Italia will be closely monitored. Stricter measures will be taken to enforce against illegal parking, with a dedicated service and with the aid of tow trucks. There will be police patrols near the motorway slip roads of Genova Nervi, Genova Est and Genova Ovest. In addition, special systems will be introduced to identify fraudulent activities, as well as specific services to stop any ticket touting and illegal parking; AMT will arrange three special services, which include two shuttle buses, Brignole/Kennedy and Kennedy/via Piave for those who park their car in Corso Italia, running every day of the Show from 9 am to 8 pm. On Saturday 5/10 and Sunday 6/10 a shuttle bus will connect Principe station and Piazzale Kennedy from 9 am to 8 pm. The transport office of the Municipality of Genoa changed the rules for parking in the payand-display bays (the so-called blue areas and isole azzurre) near the Exhibition Centre by establishing daily flat rates for cars and camper vans, and turned a part of the Corso Italia sea road into a parking area. It has also created park-and-ride facilities at reduced rates and arranged parking spaces for disabled people in front of the Exhibition Centre. People with disabilities may also use a free shuttle service by calling 3393327451, which will be active from 10 am on October 2. ASTER has arranged for the entire area in front of the Exhibition Centre to be thoroughly cleaned for the event. Specific and detailed communications about the services provided, which will be made by the relevant offices in charge, will also be available on the website of the Genoa Boat show during the days of the event.
