Classic Schooner “ANDROMEDA” 38 mt
The impressive and unique “ANDROMEDA” has just been launched at Castagnola shipyard: it’s a wonderful sailing yacht of 38 mt. overall for 8.20 mt of length. The yacht was fitted at Costruzioni Navali Tigullio – Castagnola shipyard in Lavagna (Ge) Italy, and features a modern interior. The aim behind the project was to create a spacious and comfortable sailing yacht with excellent sailing performance, in the form of a classic, elegant schooner. To this end it has been designed with a fast hull, huge sail plan, twin rudders and state-of-the-art equipment. External design is particularly sleek. The line of the hull is classical, while the superstructure is up-to-date. A highly skilled experts team, together with Costruzioni Navali Tigullio – Castagnola Shipyard, managed this complexe project: Silverio Della Rosa for the naval architecture and sail plan, Studio Faggioni for the structural plan, Nauta Yachts for the interior design while Studio Tecnico Averame supervised the whole project. The hull is made by wooden composite West System with epoxy fairing and finish. The two Sparcraft masts are impressive, high around 40 mt each, according to the wide sailing plan. All equipment is by the best producers on the market, as well as the furling system for sails. The interiors are wide, sleek and functional: accommodating 10 guests in five cabins (a full-beam master, two VIPs and two twins) in the forward section of the lower deck and up to eight crew in crew quarters aft, the yacht also feature spacious main saloons with seating and dining areas, that open out to aft cockpits. The interior design is elegant and modern, in the best Italian tradition without compromising functionality. The original feature The yacht also feature a large fold-out swimming platform which allows also easy access to tenders. Renaissance has a pair of MAN 2866 LX40 engines which produce a maximum speed of 12 knots. Ideal for private owners, Renaissance, for its features, is also suitable for Charter.
