BAVARIA CRUISER 41 S – The Cruiser with enhanced sport performance
Bavaria Yachtbau is delighted to introduce its latest new model, the stunning BAVARIA CRUISER 41 S at the “boot” in Dusseldorf at the end of January. The “S” in the name of this 12.35 m yacht stands for sport. The hull and interior are the same as seen in her sister, the brand-new CRUISER 41. A deeper keel and taller rig are key items in this new 41 S along with a host of other standard features such as the carbon spinnaker pole and dyneema performance ropes. All this help to create a high performance sailing yacht to enchant all sailors who are keen to win races and championships without missing out any of the comfort on and below deck that the CRUISER line offers.
The CRUISER 41 S yacht was designed by the highly respected and well known Farr Yacht Design team who have a proven pedigree in offshore racing boats. These include15 yachts being constructed for the Americas Cup as well as the new VOR 65 one design class which is set to race 40,000 miles around the world at the next Volvo Ocean Race. Bavaria’s product manager Daniel Kohl said: “We are delighted with co-operation with Farr Yacht Design with this new model and this builds on the success and performance of the CRUISER line. As a successor to the popular 40s, we could again increase the performance for the new 41 S but maintain the high level of comfort inside the boat that Bavaria owners have come to expect.”
The CRUISER 41 S is fully equipped for fast sailing within its standard specification already from the yard in order to guarantee the optimum layout for each crew to perform at its best. The dyform performance rig from Seldén and racing boom, main sheet system with ball bearing cockpit traveller, genoa cars with trimline system, six 2-gears aluminium cockpit winches from Lewmar and all lines led aft, make handling easy in all weather conditions.
Electronic instrumentation by Garmin to control the speed, course to the wind, wind speed and further important data is fed easily to the tactician and helmsman, allowing accurate and easy trimming by the crew. A symmetrical rudder with fore balance and two composite steering wheels keep the CRUISER 41 S on track and guarantee the ability for quick reactions at the start line.
When racing has finished, the crew are able to relax in comfort in the well-appointed interior that has become known as the standard of Bavaria’s hugely popular CRUISER-LINE.
The saloon offers a large table and seating area while the galley is equipped with a two burner gas stove with oven, refrigerator and ample stowage for all the crew’s needs. The 3 cabin version with a generous owner’s cabin in the bow is the perfect yacht for short and long distance races.
“The CRUISER 40 S, the predecessor of the 41 S has already won quite a number of medals at international races and can race with its own class start at some events in the Mediterranean with 20 yachts or more. We feel very confident that our CRUISER 41 S will be a huge success and improve on even those results so we are looking forward to the first races with the new model.” said Daniel Kohl.
The new CRUISER 41 is immediately available at a basic price of € 142.200,00 € (without taxes).
