Another successful boat tests session
This year I had the pleasure to be invited again to the biggest boat-test session organized in Finland. Despite the fact that organizers draw our attention every time to come very well equipped, ready to face the cold, wind and rain, I can say that we were lucky and the sun spoiled us and it gave us the opportunity to take some great photos.
I know I have said this on other occasions, but I must repeat that this event for specialized media is truly spectacular and very well directed. Our hosts know how to combine business with pleasure, know when to take a break for coffee and know when is time for work.
The routes chosen for testing were placed in Turku Archipelago area, a vast and beautiful place where nature still retains some mysteries and wildness. Every time I get back with pleasure and I am enjoying the beautiful landscape and the routes chosen by the organizers and the boats offered for testing by nordic manufacturers who remind us regularly what “Made in Finland” is all about.
There would be something to say, something that is often overlooked by the attendees but that occurs only in discussions in unfortunate situations: the safety. A large number of boats and participants can sometimes make problems in terms of safety, especially when the Baltic Sea is a little angry. There were moments when I thought about this and that all participants should thank the hosts for concern because the preventive measures they taken managed to avoid unpleasant moments.
Returning to the boats, I’m going to do a brief review of the boats we have tested that you will find later with a more detailed approach in the pages of the magazine and also on our websites.
The tested brand boats: AMT , Bella, Faster, Flipper, Targa, Finnmaster, Husky, Buster, Yamarin, NordStar, Nauticat, Sargo and Silver.
