Focus Motor Yachts unveils ultra high-spec ‘GTX’ model
Amsterdam-based boat builder, Focus Motor Yachts, has added a new high-spec Limited Edition GTX model to its acclaimed sports cruiser fleet.
Focus Motor Yachts unveils ultra high-spec ‘GTX’ model -The first of the exclusive new GTX variants has been built on the basis of the versatile Focus Power 36, which was introduced to the market at the end of 2020 – and according to the Focus Motor Yachts CEO, the development of the new model was inspired by a customer with some very exacting requests.
He said: “A European client approached us because he needed a boat that was small enough to comply with the regulations on the local lakes, without compromising the usability of the deck arrangements, the quality of the build or the calibre of the performance. Having explored some of the finest British and Italian boat builders, he was keen to go with our FP36 because of the generosity of the day spaces. But he insisted that his new yacht should be a match for the world’s most revered brands not just in terms of its layout but also in terms of its premium feel, so we worked together to create exactly the boat he wanted.”
With its jet-black hull and topsides, contrasting with teak decks and custom steelwork, the new Focus Power 36 GTX is unquestionably one of the most beautiful boats on the water – and the fit-out is also first-class. Both the lower deck spaces and the cockpit seating are lined with Italian leather and all the equipment, from the cooker, the TV and the hifi system to the shower, fridge and bathroom fittings, are sourced from the world’s most exclusive luxury brands.
The GTX also features lovely integrated LED strip lighting along both edges of the walkaround side decks. While that aids visibility and delivers some extra stylistic flamboyance, the custom-built dashboard is also entirely new. It has been engineered to accommodate a pair of 13-inch displays and the inclusion of Quick Nautical Network (QNN) smart boat technology means you can control your various on board systems, including the dimmable lights, at the touch of a button.
While Boat Number 01 is a fine example of what can be achieved with the new model, the GTX also offers plenty of customisation potential. Every element of the boat, from material & colour selection to equipment choice and internal fit & finish, can be tailored to complement each customer’s unique tastes and ambitions. And it’s been such a successful project that the new FP36 GTX is now set to become a permanent part of the Focus Power fleet…
The Focus Motor Yachts CEO added: “Having already established itself as one of the world’s most capable multi-purpose midsized sports cruisers, our Focus Power 36 was always likely to make a spectacular platform for the development of an ultra high-spec variant and so it has proved. The new GTX model delivers all the recreational versatility of the established FP36 but with even more in the way of quality and customisation potential. It’s still a brilliant 50-knot thoroughbred with space for ten and sleeping for five – but on the new GTX, every single detail is literally the best it can be.”
