TWO AMERICAN DEBUTS FOR THE FERRETTI GROUP AT THE 56TH FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW
Two new yachts will go on show for the very first time in the Americas: the Ferretti Yachts 550 and the Riva 88′ Florida, along with a fleet of 15 models branded Ferretti Yachts, Riva and Pershing.
Fort Lauderdale, 5th November 2015 – Ferretti Group has added two new cards to its pack and will be showing off two of its six new yachts for the 2015 – 2016 yachting season at the 56th Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
The Ferretti Yachts 550 and the Riva 88′ Florida will be seen on the American continent for the very first time, just few months after their World premiere.
“Our expansion strategy for 2015-2017 is based on 3 core pillars: financial stability, credibility and investment in R&D for the development and production of new models, to grasp what is going on and stay ahead of market trends with the quality and style that are the hallmark of all the yachts of our brands” – stated Alberto Galassi, Ferretti Group CEO.
“I believe the excellent results we have seen in recent months confirm we have been making the right choices, also in light of the many excellent new products we are showing at all of the main international boat shows, where we are well and truly ahead of the game”.
The major investments Ferretti Group has made in product research and development, topping 50 million Euro, have led to the launch of 6 new models in 2015, planning to launch 27 yachts between 2015 and 2017.
At Fort Lauderdale it is the turn of the Ferretti Yachts 550: a new hull design, reorganized engine and technical rooms, and a completely new interior layout. Features that won over the market: six of the brand’s new flybridge have been sold to customers between America, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific, just two months since yacht’s unveiling.
The American event is also a showcase for the Riva 88′ Florida. Revealed in Monaco last May and with three units already sold, Riva’s new masterpiece is the first of its kind: a sport yacht with a two-fold open and coupé design.
Riva’s elegance and styling, true to the brand’s classic appeal, have been enriched by the addition of an amazing technological innovation, an exclusive patent by the Group: the Convertible Top, making the 88’ Florida the first convertible motor yacht.
As well as these two new models, visitors coming to the boat show between November 5th and 9th will be able to admire some of the most successful yachts from three of the Group’s brands: the Ferretti Yachts 650, the Ferretti Yachts 750, the Ferretti Yachts 800 and the Altura 840 for the Ferretti Yachts brand; the Pershing 62, the Pershing 70, the Pershing 74 and the Pershing 82 for the Pershing brand; Iseo, Aquariva Super, Rivarama Super, Rivale and 63’ Virtus for the Riva brand.
During the Group’s press conference for the opening of the show, Mr. Alberto Galassi shared some of the most significant results enjoyed during the first ten months of the year in the Americas, where the Group has a consolidated serial order intake worth 99 million USD as of 31st October 2015, an increase of 28% compared to 31st October 2014.
At global level, the Group’s consolidated order intake was worth 320 million Euro as of 31st October 2015, an increase of 75% compared to the first ten months of 2014.
The consolidation of the Group’s market presence in the Americas continued through 2015 with the expansion of its Sales Centers in North America and Mexico (Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Great Lakes, Canada, Miami Beach, Sag Harbor, Huntington, Newport Beach, and most recently Mexico City) as well as of its sales network in Central and South America, especially Venezuela, Panama, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Chile and Peru, where Ferretti Group America is planning to open a new Sales Center in the coming months to support the constantly growing markets in the country and surrounding areas.
The Group’s positive performance in the Americas has also been a boost for its subsidiary Allied Marine, whose order book saw double digit growth in the first 10 months of 2015. Allied Marine will have its own stand at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and will be showing its fleet made of 15 yachts. The firm was founded in Miami in 1945 and is one of the main players in the United States today, offering after sales services, trade and brokerage of motor yachts.
This year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the ideal occasion to celebrate the Company’s 70 years of success.

FERRETTI YACHTS 550
This new flybridge yacht plays a crucial role in the brand’s development strategy.
The Ferretti Yachts 550, which features an unprecedented hull design, equipment and engine room arrangement and interior layout, is once again the brilliant outcome of the long-standing cooperation between the Group, its Engineering Department in particular, and Studio Zuccon International Project.
This yacht combines elegance and a very sporty character, with clear-cut and yet very seducing lines.
The main deck uninterrupted glazing ‘cuts’ the yacht’s profile, increasing its dynamic look, while the three large glazed surfaces on the hull sides – the cabin windows – perfectly harmonize with the overall design and grant magnificent views from the interiors as well as plenty of natural light.
The frameless fiberglass flush portholes result in very clean lines.
The lowered flybridge and the new forward lounge area on the wheelhouse offer incredibly wide outdoor relaxation areas, ensuring great privacy with no impact on the craft’s slender profile.
88’ FLORIDA
An open yacht and a coupé: two souls, entwined in one single, spectacular yacht.
Riva’s typically rigorous lines and the 88’ Florida’s own unparalleled elegance are made even more enticing by the yacht’s innovative ‘Convertible Top’ technology, derived from the automotive sector, creating the first convertible luxury motor yacht.
The new ‘Moon Grey’ shade, a light metallic grey that enhances the yacht’s slender lines, characterizes the slender lines of the first 88’ Florida, and is in pleasant contrast with the ‘Bright Black’ shade details. The hull profile is really unmistakable thanks to the innovative-design continuous glazing featuring a stainless steel plate that bears the Riva logo in its central part. The large windshield and the steel roll bar complete this new yacht’s design.
