The Tofinou is the answer to a certain sailing philosophy: offering owners and enthusiasts of this unique sailboat a series of sea events. They will have the opportunity to celebrate the regatta spirit in Ajaccio, Geneva, La Baule, Port Grimaud, Cap Ferret, Ile de Ré, Cannes and to finish, Saint Tropez.
The Regatta 2014 calendar opened with the fabulous Régates Impériales d’Ajaccio from the 26th to 31st May and will close with the highly prestigious Voiles de Saint-Tropez from the 27th September to the 5th October. Could there be a more prestigious event, side by side classic yachting legends? The Open de France Tofinou 8 at la Baule on the 28th and 29th June, the Atlantic Cup on the Ile de Ré at the end of July and the Toffee Cup in Arcachon also in July: all the events are exclusively reserved for sailboats from the Latitude 46 shipyard. Owners will get the chance to fully embrace their passion and love for these beautiful boats.
For the record!
The first Tofinou regatta was the Blue Wind Cup created in Ars en Ré in 1988, and it very quickly became a key event for Tofinou 7 lovers. The event was renamed the Atlantic Cup in 2011 and this year will take place on the 26th and 27th July. The fundamentals have not changed since the start: the sporting quality of the event inspires each racer to hone their boat and choose the best crewmen available in the region. The superb setting of the Ars en Ré port will once again provide a great backdrop for this event. Here, competition goes hand in hand with fair-play; rigour does not mean excluding conviviality. Here people get together amongst friends and family. A number of renowned navigators have taken part in the past including Lionel Péan, Philippe Poupon, Marc Thiercelin, Philippe Briand, Laurent Cordelle, Jean-François Fountaine and many others.The regatta will take place over two days, on the Fier d’Ars bay and off the banc du Bucheron in the Breton strait. The first round is a coastal route and will most definitely be a magical moment in such a beautiful environment.

A major traditional event, in the sublime Arcachon Bay, thanks to a British subject who owns a Tofinou 7 christened “Toffee”.
26 to 27 July – Tofinou Atlantic Cup, Ars en Ré

The original regatta, at the heart of the magnificent port of Ars en Ré. The dream of all regatta participants.
AUGUST
6 to 7 August – Voiles de Loix-St Martin, île de Ré
Open to Tofinou 7.
As both cradle of the Tofinou and also a paradisiacal spot, the Ile de Ré could not avoid hosting a second Tofinou event. For a better chance to discover the island and of course more racing.
14 to 18 August – Voiles de Légendes, Trophée Gavottes, La Baule

SEPTEMBER

Spotlight on classic sailing here in this bay, ideal for regattas around the Lerins islands. The Tofinou is at its best at this technical event.
27 September to 5 October – Voiles de St Tropez, Baie de St Tropez
Open to Tofinou 9.5, Tofinou 12 and Tofinou 16
Voiles de Saint-Tropez. A name that is known throughout the world and a vertiginous platform. Great classics for tradition, the Wally’s for modernity and Tofinou for elegance.
