Sciallino Yacht back to the future: with respect for tradition the announce of new models and partnership for the design with Luca Maschera
New Boats, characterized by smooth, modern lines and strong personality: lighter, safer and more economic, wider, with respect for the environment and in the best Italian style.
Milan, April 9th, 2014. Sciallino Yacht, during a meeting with the press “Back to the Future”, held today at Spazio Acquadimare, Milan headquarters of the company, presented the new models Sc27 Twenty-seven, Sc30 Thirty and Sc36 Thirty-six, and announced the partnership for the design with Luca Maschera, designer and founder of the Baumarine. Sciallino Yacht looks to the future: advances with innovative and logical criteria to offer to the enthusiasts of the sea and sailing the best guarantee of reliability and cost, launching a new line with new style and characteristics. It is a major investment, economically speaking too, because we believe in a market recovery that will reward better quality. It is an act of trust in the nautical market, now strained by the crisis. Sciallino Yacht chose Luca Maschera because with Baumarine, (one of the small yards that has continued to sell during the crisis), has proved the ability to interpret at the highest level, with modern technical solutions, the tradition of the lines, the style and construction; and because he didn’t want to change, but rather portray the Sciallino style, maintaining all the features of style and quality of design and construction. The Sciallino style has always been synonymous with sobriety and good Italian taste (little plastic, more wood), safety on sea (motor boats are the only ones recommended by experienced sailors), great substance and concreteness (rather than luxury and trend of the moment), Italian shipbuilding tradition (and Ligurian): one of the top of the Made in Italy. Harmony, personality and, above all, constant research and interpretation are the hallmarks of our work. We wanted to express all of these through our logo, designed, engineered and manufactured with a dynamic and darting design, which represents the spirit of our boats, and also through the new website Sciallino Yacht www.sciallino.it, which is instant and friendly, essential and modern.
“Innovate – overhaul tradition – is very important nowadays, almost a duty”, says Carlo Bassi, President of SciallinoYacht. “The meeting with Luca Maschera interprets and epitomizes in the best way the concept of future. With Luca we have started the production of the “30”. In the tradition of Ligurian goiter, we do not manufacture luxury boats, but beautiful boats for a good seal. The new line interprets and promotes lightness, increasing spaces and reducing the costs . We look to the future, and especially to foreign markets, thanks to our tradition. Our goal, now more than ever, is a quality chain.”
“Building boats is my passion and my profession”, says Luca Maschera, owner of the Baumarine shipyard, “and I am proud to sign the designs for Sciallino Yacht and be able to interpret the historic Sciallino style, updating it. We turn to a “familiar” target with a democratic idea of the sea. I found an immediate affinity with Carlo Bassi, the same goals, the same enthusiasm and passion, on the basis of the results obtained so far, which increases our desire to build yachts of reference, simple, lasting, with essential lines and strong character, abreast with time.”
