Sami Kuivalainen is the new CEO of TerhiTec Oy
TerhiTec Oy will have a new CEO starting from 1.9.2014. Sami Kuivalainen, aged 43, will be appointed CEO from his current position as factory manager for Terhi-boats. Sami has worked at the factory for 15 years. Terhi-boats have been manufactured in Rymättylä, Finland for over 40 years. The factory has produced over 200 000 Terhi-boats. In addition to Terhi, the company also manufactures Silver- and SeaStar-boats in another factory location in Ähtäri. In August 2014 sales and marketing was transferred to Oy Brandt Ab. TerhiTec is responsible for production and R&D.
“Sami has a long experience and a good track record in R&D and leading a factory successfully. These abilities will come in handy in his new position. He will lead two factories, Rymättylä and Ähtäri, with a total of 80 people.” Says chairman of the board and majority owner Stefan Brandt.
TerhiTec Oy and Oy Brandt Ab are part of the Otto Brandt -group which is a family company in the fifth generation and was established in 1905. The group represents an array of brands, in addition to Silver, Terhi and SeaStar for example Honda-motorcycles, -ATV’s, -outboard engines, -generators, -snow throwers and garden machines, Faster-boats, Yanmar-engines, Torqeedo -electrical outboard engines, Polaris-ATV’s and -snowmobiles, and Indian- and Victory-motorcycles.
