Rickety Bridge chosen as Official Wine Supplier of the Clipper 13-14 Race
An exclusive South African winery, Rickety Bridge, has been chosen as the Official Wine Supplier of the Clipper 13-14 Race Rickety Bridge Winery in Franschhoek, is a popular destination in South Africa located in the Cape winelands with a long wine making history that dates back to the 17th century. The founder and chairman of the Clipper Race, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, said of the appointment, “I am extremely pleased to welcome on board Rickety Bridge as our Official Wine Supplier for the Clipper 13-14 Race. I was lucky enough to sample some of their wine at Race Start; it will be a pleasure to work with a company with such pedigree and history.” Rickety Bridge currently produce sixteen exceptional types of wine covering all tastes from Rosé, Chardonnay and Merlot which will be served up at official events during the Clipper 13-14 Round the world Yacht Race. The fleet will visit South Africa, Cape Town in October 2013 during the 40,000 mile race.
