New Palm Beach Motor Yachts model company
builds on the success of its series with the new Palm Beach 70

– Construction is underway for the first Palm Beach 70
– The first two hulls already sold
– Launch scheduled for late 2018
Palm Beach Motor Yachts is continuing to add to its series of impeccably built, performance oriented yachts with the introduction of the new Palm Beach 70. Construction is well underway on the company’s new flagship for a scheduled completion at the end of 2018, with the first two hulls sold.

THE LEGACY
The Palm Beach 70 builds on the highly popular Palm Beach 65, while offering additional volume in the amidships master stateroom and spacious crew accommodations. “We really pride ourselves on listening to our customers and building yachts that make their time on the water more enjoyable,” said Mark Richards, CEO and founder of Palm Beach Motor Yachts. “The initial genesis of the 70 came from customer demand, yet we were able to combine these particular requests with our high-standards of performance, hull efficiency, and aesthetics.”

NEW MODEL OVERVIEW
Like all Palm Beach models, the Palm Beach 70 is built on a semi-displacement warped-hull design that produces less resistance to achieve planing mode due to the warped shape keeping the bow in the water.
This eliminates any “hump” in the speed curve that is typically associated with deep or modified-V hull shapes. Instead, a Palm Beach is designed to go through the water and avoid wasting energy to get up on top of the water.

This design also affords a shallow draft and additional buoyancy aft. With a draft of just 3-feet, 6 inches, with Volvo IPS 1350s, or 4-feet, 7 inches with straight shafts, this 70-footer is ready to explore off the beaten path. The vessel is estimated to cruise at 33 knots when paired with the standard twin Volvo IPS 1350 engines, and a top speed of 38 knots.

PALM BEACH CONSTRUCTION PROCESS
Mark Richards’ successful competitive sailing career and experience building high-tech racing sailboats is evident in the build of Palm Beach, where weight reduction is a key aspect to every new build. Less weight and stronger materials coupled to our hull design create one of the most efficient running yachts in this class.
The construction process features extensive utilization of vinylester-infused carbon fiber throughout the entire build to emphasize weight-reduction and focus on structural strength and balance.

TWO  DIFFERENT VERSIONS
The Palm Beach 70 is available as either an express model or with an optional flybridge. The tender is easily stowed and deployed from the garage underneath the cockpit. From here, access to the teak swim platform for docking and various water activities is seamless through the port and starboard transom doors.

ENTERTAINMENT SPACES
The Palm Beach 70’s layout features entertainment spaces in both the expansive cockpit and salon, with enhanced continuity between them due to the large electric windows in the aft bulkhead. Dual cockpit settees are designed for comfortable seating underway or at rest. The transom settee provides the perfect spot for an early breakfast before the day’s adventures. Although the best seat on the 70 to enjoy your surroundings may just be the bow cockpit. This special feature was conceived as a place to thrust yourself into escape and enjoy the peace and solitude of boating while underway or on the hook.

COMPLETE CUSTOMIZATION OF THE INTERIOR LAYOUT
The concept of the Palm Beach 70 is centered around allowing for customization of the interior layout, with one of the first hulls featuring 4 staterooms and 4 heads.
