Marex Boats became the most awarded shipyard in Europe!
The new flagship Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiser won two major boating Awards during the boat show boot Düsseldorf 2024. Presented for the first time at the 2023 Cannes Yachting Festival, it impressed the expert jury of the European Power Boat of the Year 2024, which consists of the editors-in-chief and sea trial journalists from the eight leading European motorboat media. The family cruiser was awarded in the “Powerboats up to 14 m” category.
The Marex Boat got the second prestigious prize, the Motor Boat Award 2024, for its flagship 440 Gourmet Cruiser in the “Sportscruisers up to 45ft” category.

“If Espen Aalrud, the Marex CEO, is serious about building the best family boats in the world, the new 440 is the perfect place to begin. While it might look relatively modest in a classical Nordic way, the ingenuity behind the deck layouts is deeply impressive.
Plenty of high-spec features, including an anchor camera and floating lilo-style foredeck cushions, enhance the experience. Clever, flexible, and painstakingly resolved, very few new boat recommendations are as clear-cut and unqualified as this”.
ABOUT MAREX 440 GOURMET CRUISERT
The Marex 440 is a new generation of cruisers with contemporary design lines and several innovations.
At 13.70 metres in lengthand a maximum beam of 4.27 metres, the Norwegian shipyard continuesto implement innovative, practical onboard solutions, focusing on ergonomics, comfort, and safety for the whole family.The Marex 440 Gourmet Cruiseris the result of a collaboration between the Marex in-house design team and Slovenian studio VOM Creations Yacht Design. Nikl Design provided the naval architecture, and Alpha Creations did the engineering. The Marex 440 G Chasthe Smart Canopy System, the fastest and easies tmethod of closing the open cockpit deck on the market. The curtains are hidden in the targa arch and slide around like curtains. The new Marex has two modifications: the 440 Gourmet Cruiser with anenormous U-shaped kitchen layout and the 440 Scandinavia version with a second dining in theen closed salon. One of the 440 Gourmet Cruiser’s innovations is its kitchen. Marex created a chef’s dream with a nenormous U-shaped kitchen layout–the largest in its class. It features an oven/microwave, double sink, induction cooker and a dish washer. Marex has brought the beach club idea to the family boats. The platform has a large sitting area for enjoying the closeness to the sea. A hydraulically operated swim platform features optional steps when submerged, making getting in and out of the water safe.
