Keizer 42
A beautiful design, practical interior and superior performance: the brand-new Keizer 42 has it all. It combines the spaciousness of a more traditional yacht with the sporty presence of a classic runabout. Its modern driveline is highly efficient, which results in a long range. We are proud to present the Keizer 42 – a world premiere – at Boot Düsseldorf 2017. The Keizer 42 is the result of the dream of two passionate water sports lovers: Siep Keizer and Jos Brehler. Thanks to their international experience in the yachting world, they are fully aware of what can be purchased, but also what can be improved in the various existing models. “It was our dream to develop a yacht that not only looks fantastic, but is also practical and affordable”, says Siep Keizer. “There isn’t a single yacht that combines a sexy look with plenty of interior space, practical qualities and a competitive price”, Jos Brehler adds. That’s why Keizer Yachts took a different approach: developing a great looking and both practical runabout. A yacht without compromise. Fall in love The Keizer 42 has an impressive look. A look that makes you fall in love from the very first sight. The design team at Vripack Naval Architects did a great job translating Keizer’s ideas into a new, beautiful runabout. Although she has a high-volume interior, Keizer did not compromise on the looks. She is bound to turn heads wherever she goes! Largest open cockpit in its segment Keizer’s first model was designed with a large, open living space and the yacht has the largest open cockpit in its market segment. The floor deck was created ergonomically with a completely flat floor. From the practical outdoor kitchen equipped with an electric stove and fridge to the fully outfitted cockpit with its navigation equipment and instruments.
The remarkable large sunbed is a clear demonstration of Keizer’s unique approach. The movable back rests offer customers the option to go for large sunbed or to create more sitting room in the cockpit. You’d rather take to a spot in the shade? Or it suddenly starts to rain? No worries. The easy-to-fold convertible top can gently be stowed away above the windscreen. The Keizer 42 will provide the owner and his guests with a great and comfortable stay on board – in all circumstances. Entering a hotel suite The new yacht measures 13.42 metres in length and 3.99 metres in width. These dimensions have been used to best advantage for the practical living space. If you go below deck down the unique styled stairway, you will have the feeling of entering a hotel suite. The master bedroom is fitted with two stylish sofas and a king-size bed. The fully equipped interior does not know what concessions are. There is plenty of storage room in the cabinets, there is a rotatable TV as well as a microwave. The interior allows you to stay on board for days or even weeks, together with family and friends. Besides the master bedroom there is another room with two beds and a complete bathroom with toilet and separate shower compartment. The master bedroom and the bathroom both provide a generous headroom of 1.90 m. There isn’t a single yacht that comes even close to the Keizer 42 with this mix of dimensions, inside space, practical convenience and price. Modern driveline The Keizer 42 is inspired by the traditional runabout, but then with a modern driveline in the vessel’s stern. You have the choice of two Volvo Penta diesel options: the D4 (2x 300 HP) or D6 (2x 400 HP). You prefer gasoline? In that case, you can opt for the Volvo Penta V8 (2 x 355 hp). Depending on the choice of engine, the Keizer 42 can achieve a top speed of 40 knots (75 km/h) and a range of 400 miles. Optional there is the choice for a Aquamatic Joystick including electrical steering. Whatever engine you prefer, they all have one thing in common: they are manufactured by the undisputed leader in marine innovation: Volvo Penta. The engines are robust, immensely strong for minimal vibrations and have a long service life. And last but not least, they comply with the most stringent environmental demands.
Great seakeeping One of the characteristics of a true runabout is the hull shape that makes high speed cruising a unique experience. We invested heavily in the development of the hull. At Keizer, we focused on great seakeeping in combination with safety and comfort at both low and high cruising speeds. It ́s up to you how you use your Keizer 42; cruising comfortably on lakes and channels or for making longer sea passages. Personalisation If customers want to make their Keizer completely personal, they can. The standard available wood options are mahogany, oak and teak. For the interior and exterior upholstery, customers can choose from 14 different types of fabric or leather from the standard collection, but on request a lot more is possible. The standard version of the Keizer 42 is white, but if customers prefer another colour they can opt for any RAL colour of their liking. The convertible top is grey and again, we are able to customise this to a colour of your choice. Dutch design, German built We at Keizer Yachts took a different approach in realizing this new sports yacht. We joined forces with two world-leading companies, Vripack for design & naval architecture and Bavaria Yachts for their unrivalled ultra-modern production facilities. This made it possible to make our vision come true. We are proud to build the Keizer 42 in Germany. At Bavaria Yachts, they combine the boat building tradition with German engineering and the ability to manufacture yachts precisely to the millimetre with the use of modern industrial production facilities. Building our yacht in one of the best shipyards in the world and by the best engineers and boat builders is a great advantage for a new company. Together with Bavaria Yachts we have a great and solid production platform for every future Keizer owner. The result of this cooperation, and the fact that Keizer has an exclusive dealer model results in a very good price. Keizer charges half the amount of the competitors with a price that starts from € 264.500,-. This is what we call a unique approach.
