FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE
THE FOURTH FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE 124’, THE FIRST IN THEBRAND’S FLAGSHIP LINE TO BE DELIVERED IN TURKEY, HAS BEEN LAUNCHED.
The new yacht, the first white-hulled 124-footer, is set to sail off at the end of March to be delivered in Turkey, one of the leading markets for the Ferretti Group. Ancona, February 2013 – With its 37.80 (124ft) metres in length and 7.35-metre (24ft 1 in) width, this is the largest yacht ever produced by Ferretti Custom Line and represents a moment of significant renewal in the history of the shipyard. The fourth hull of the Ferretti Custom Line 124’, the flagship in the Ferretti Group brand’s line, was launched on 19 February in Ancona. Once onboard furnishings and all necessary technical operations are completed, at the end of March the yacht will head off to Turkey. This will be an absolute debut for Ferretti Custom Line on this important Mediterranean market. Ferretti Custom Line 124’#4 – once again the outcome of the close cooperation between Studio Zuccon International Project, AYTD – Advanced Yacht Technology & Design (Ferretti Group’s research and naval design centre) – can boast an entirely white hull and onboard spaces fully customised to the tastes of the Owner, who wanted to add an original touch to the interiors and, together with the AYTD designers, has chosen a series of decor solutions selecting some of the leading Italian brands. Such extraordinary customisation possibilities are one of the distinguishing features of Ferretti Custom Line, a brand that has always set the Owner’s wishes as its main priority, aiming to offer its Customers a “truly tailored sea experience”. “We are particularly satisfied with the launch and the forthcoming delivery of this model in Turkey – explains Karin Paggi, Ferretti Custom Line’s EMEA Sales Manager – because they confirm this country’s interest for our products. Turkey is indeed one of the leading markets for the Ferretti Group in the whole Mediterranean basin, where we have been present for over 15 years with many Ferretti Custom Line models that have always been widely appreciated”. The exterior of the yacht features racy, slender, elegant lines – distinctive signs of all maxi yachts of the Ferretti Group brand – further enhanced by a wide glazed surface along the main deck and by another functional-aesthetic innovative solution at the height of the salon: a system of glass surfaces that can be converted into sliding doors and a collapsible gunwale on both broadsides allowing to obtain exclusive private terraces overlooking the sea. A unique, unmistakable feature of this fourth hull is the colour chosen by the Owner for the hull: pure white, like the sea foam. The interiors of the Ferretti Custom Line 124’#4 stand out for their contemporary, completely restyled design, in which fine materials play a crucial role: precious Canaletto walnut wood, polished lacquered panels in shades of ecru, and ivory-shade leather for the walls and the furniture; bleached oak parquet flooring on the main deck, in the lobby of the lower deck and on the upper deck, alternating with soft fitted FloorToHeaven carpeting in the master cabin and the cabins on the lower deck. Not to mention the fine marble found in the bathrooms. MAIN DECK Ferretti Custom Line 124’#4 features particularly generous spaces starting in the cockpit, where the Owner decided to customise the lounge area with the Zendo model of the Manutti line: two sand coloured armchairs and sofa plus a matching square-shaped, modern-style pouf. The spacious salon is free of any obstacles and allows the eye to sweep freely across it. Large windows and the wide side glazed surfaces ensure incredible brightness and increase the sense of spaciousness and continuity between the interiors and the exteriors. The side glazing, on both sides, opens onto the sidedecks, where the electric-hydraulic collapsible platforms can be converted into terraces offering a unique, exclusive view over the sea. The living area is furnished with two large L-shaped sofas with lacquered frame and fabric linings and two coffee tables built in the same wood as the boat with a sanded, extra-light-shade glass base. To the right is a lacquered solid-wood and leather unit which contains a 52” TV with pop-up system. This layout leaves a wide central passage free, leading to the opening glazed doors. Moreover, the Owner has chosen to complete this area with a brandy-shade carpet, FloorToHeaven – Kover Buro “Orbit” model. Continuing towards the bow, the lunch area can be found, fitted with a custom-made large (2m x 2m) square table in Macassar ebony wood and glass in the central part, specially designed by AYTD. The table can seat up to 10-12 people and is completed by black-frame/white seat Flip model chairs by Poliform. The Owner of the Ferretti Custom Line 124’#4 has decided to customise the central part of the boat by extending the area used for the galley, which is furnished with kitchen units by Ernestomeda in light grey satinized glass with quartz worktops and Bosch professional appliances. The spacious Owner area can be found at the bow, where great brightness is ensured by the large glazing along both broadsides. This area is divided into a working zone and the bedroom, featuring a sepia-colour leather and gun barrel-colour frame Archibald armchair and footrest by Poltrona Frau. The Owner, from Turkey, decided to have the night area customised with a leather-lined wall by Foglizzo, on which a “wall of leaves” has been outlined using the laser drawing technique to obtain a more natural setting. The cabin is completed by the bathroom with large shower, characterised by the exclusive materials selected by the Owner and, particularly, by the Silk Georgette Dark single marble block used for the washbasin, further enriched by Fir taps and Dornbracht accessories. LOWER DECK The lower deck is divided into the guest area, to which access is gained through the passage room beside the galley, and the crew quarters – completely separated from the other private areas –, that can be reached from the staircase coming from the galley on the main deck. The four guest cabins can benefit from plenty of light thanks to the large upright-free hull glazing. The two VIP double cabins are located astern, while the two cabins with twin beds and Pullman beds can be found towards the bow. All cabins are ensuite with separate shower box. Functional solutions have also been implemented for the crew area layout: besides the galley with dinette, the crew quarters also feature a large storage-laundry room and a cabin with desk area for the Captain. There is also a hostess cabin and, at the extreme bow, two twin cabins with bunk beds. Each cabin is fitted with a private head with shower. UPPER DECK On the upper deck the 124’ can show its unique style to the fullest thanks to a new concept of lounge area, whereby the latter becomes an area entirely devoted to relaxation featuring a painstaking care for both the interiors and the outdoor spaces. The panoramic salon has been fitted with bleached oak parquet flooring and offers all guests the opportunity to enjoy a really unique view over the sea from a privileged position thanks to the spherical glazing extending along the entire width of the yacht. To further enhance the elegance and refinement of this area, the Owner has chosen a cream-shade FloorToHeaven – Kover Buro “Orbit” cover featuring a cocoa-colour braided decoration. The spacious conversation and entertainment area is characterised by a U-shaped sofa in ecru shades with a coffee table in the centre and a unit with pop-up TV system. The glass door provides access to the cockpit, furnished with a custom-made, natural teak lunch table with white Corian inserts seating up to 10-12 guests, seats with fabric cushions and a fully-equipped grill area protected from the sun by the flying bridge structure. Towards the stern, a Jacuzzi tub is surrounded by perimeter seating and a large sunbathing area. A tender can be stored at far stern, using a davit complete with protective casing, while towards the bow the lounge has made room for the helm station, featuring a sofa and a charting area. Outdoor, on both flying bridge deck, there are two control stations making manoeuvres far easier. SUN DECK AND BOW A second steering station can be found on the sun deck. Behind it is the sunbathing area with a large, comfortable sun pad. Besides this area, this yacht can boast many other areas specifically devoted to relaxation in the open air: a wide sunbathing area can indeed be found on the deckhouse, and another one covers a peak at the bow, while on the main deck, at the extreme bow, guests will be free to sunbathe enjoying the utmost privacy even when the yacht is moored in marinas. Underneath this area there is a garage where a small service tender can be stored. TECHNOLOGY AND PROPULSION SYSTEM The 124’#4 is equipped with an excellent onboard propulsion system, ensuring outstanding performances thanks to two MTU 3184mhp or 3510mhp engines. The more powerful engines allow to reach a cruising speed of 23.5 knots and a maximum speed of 27 knots. Last-generation solutions have also been implemented for the instrumentation ensuring on-board safety and comfort, such as the Furla.Net monitoring and control system and the four Mitsubishi ARG (Anti Rolling Gyro) stabilisers, installed exclusively on many Ferretti Group yachts, which reduce rolling by over 50%. ONBOARD HOME AUTOMATION SYSTEMS Upon request by the Owner, XTR Sonance loudspeakers have been installed in all Ferretti Custom Line 124’ #04’s outdoor areas. In order to ensure easy connection from the Mac Mini installed in the salon or from iPhone/iPad, the Seamphony Area audio device has been selected, a system that, together with the Airport Express wi-fi base, allows, for instance, to choose one’s favourite music tracks and play them in several areas, easily adjust the volume, or even display a plotter view of the yacht on the various onboard TV screens or on the touchscreen devices available. Moreover, an efficient RTI home automation system has been installed on the yacht, allowing to control all onboard sophisticated technological systems by means of a dedicated remote control or from an i-Pad: from lights and curtains to the audio&video system all the way to air conditioning and the crew call function.
