CANTIERI DI PISA

CANTIERI DI PISA

Cantieri di Pisa’s CdP Custom Division has concluded the sale of a 37.50 metre technological explorer with a steel hull and composite superstructure. The design and engineering are by Marcelo Penna. The layout offers six cabins for guests and four for crew, convivial interiors, and generous, light-filled outdoor spaces. The yacht’s comforts and services are of the highest order, including a superbly equipped galley, a Jacuzzi, an owner’s terrace, a spacious beach club, a massage room, plenty of storage space and two terraces that open out laterally. The hybrid propulsion system delivers a top speed of 15 knots.

In parallel with the launch and design of the three new lines of Cantieri di Pisa, the shipyard is moving forward with its Cdp Custom Division. “This sale is the first step taken by our CdP Custom Division,” commented Marco Massabò, CEO of the storied shipyard now owned by Enrico Gennasio. “We’re very pleased with how quickly we’ve concluded this important sale thanks to the collaboration of all the parties involved and above all our sales division and engineering department. The yacht will be launched by summer 2026.”

At 37.50 metres long and 8.15 metres in the beam, this explorer sold to a French owner will have a steel hull and a composite superstructure moulded using advanced vacuum technology, a distinguishing feature of the Cantieri di Pisa line that reduces tonnage and lowers the centre of gravity, translating into better propulsion efficiency and reduced consumption,” added Massabò.

Ideal for cruising at all latitudes but also suitable for chartering, the new superyacht is fitted with state-of-the-art entertainment systems and has six cabins for guests and five for crew, all with private bathrooms. The owner’s suite is located forward on the Main Deck and will have a private terrace. On the same deck, there will be a full-beam VIP cabin, while the four guest cabins will be on the Lower Deck. The captain’s cabin will be on the bridge deck next to the wheelhouse. A massage room on the upper deck can also be used as an extra single cabin (for crew or guests).

The exterior and interior convivial spaces are large and light-filled, featuring a Jacuzzi and various couches and sunbeds on all decks, both fore and aft.

As for services, this technological explorer has a spacious garage midships with a side-launching system for a tender up to 6.5 metres long and wave runners. The spacious and well-appointed galley, not to mention pantries on all decks, fridge and freezer areas and a high-capacity laundry, make this yacht perfect for long cruises in total comfort, as confirmed by generous storage compartments on all four decks.

The interior and exterior design and engineering are by Marcelo Penna, owner of the eponymous firm set up in Barcelona in 1984 and a naval architect and designer with 30 years’ experience working on both sail and motor yachts of various sizes and categories. “This explorer is for an expert owner,” commented Penna, “who is being offered a yacht that’s sustainable thanks in part to a hybrid battery pack and generators capable of powering the hotel mode and management services when the yacht is at anchor in marine protected areas, including mini trips in full compliance with the most stringent regulations in the coming decades.”

The yacht will be powered by a pair of 1,000 HP Man V8 engines that drive the yacht to a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots, at which it will have a range of 2,600 nautical miles.

The two diesel engines have the highest environmental rating (IMO III Epa Tier IV). The yacht is also equipped with generators and a hybrid battery pack (fully encapsulated for maximum safety) that will provide additional power and full electrical autonomy for navigation and anchorage in marine protected areas. The batteries also store enough power to turn the generators off for several hours at night and power the onboard services in maximum silence.

The boat will have Bureau Veritas Charter class certification.

In the negotiations for the sale, the shipyard was represented by Yachts Invest, while the owner engaged AB Yacht, which commented that “the buyer decided from the outset to have his yacht built by Cantieri di Pisa, the iconic Italian boat builder that doesn’t compromise on quality. This modern hybrid and fully equipped boat, which is also suitable for chartering, will undoubtedly set a new benchmark in the market for motor yachts in this category”.
