Cannes Yachting Festival 2021
Cannes Yachting Festival: the decision of the Paris Court of Appeal initially planned today has been postponed until 1 July 2021.
Cannes Yachting Festival 2021 – Paris, 27 May 2021 – The Paris Court of Appeal initially planned today has been postponed for the second time, until 1 July 2021. Preparations for the Yachting Festival continue as planned, independently of this deferment.
As a reminder, the Court of Appeal’s decision was expected this Thursday for the legal proceedings started by the Fédération des Industries Nautiques (FIN) in 2016 following ending its contract with Reed Expositions France. As a reminder, this legal action aims to cancel a contractual undertaking made by the FIN with Reed Expositions France (REF) in 2011, which guaranteed to REF the right to organise the Cannes Yachting Festival until 2041.
The 2021 edition is preparing on a steady pace and is taking shape in very auspicious circumstances with 430 exhibitors already registered and nearly 600 boats, including more than 140 previews announced.
The next edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival is scheduled to take place September 7-12, 2021.
