AZIMUT YACHTS IN MIAMI WITH THREE AMERICAN PREMIERES AND 21 BOATS ON SHOW
Azimut Yachts is attending the Miami Yacht Show once again this year, where three yachts will be given their American premiere. Two are in the top-of-the-range Grande line: the Grande 27METRI, which was awarded the “Most Achieved Trophy” at the World Yachts Trophies in the 80’ to 125’ category, and the Grande 35METRI, the collection’s flagship and the winner of four prestigious international awards. The third yacht being premiered is Azimut 60, an 18-meter model with sleek, aggressively attractive lines.
The featured boats at the Azimut Yachts stands during the American boat show, held from February 15 to 19, will be the two jewels in the Grande collection that have been such a success and received so many international awards in recent months.
The Grande 27METRI, designed by Stefano Righini, is a wide body superyacht with a unique concept, creating perfect harmony between flowing exterior lines and unparalleled interior volumes for the segment. The vertical bow and the big full-height windows, which rise from the hull and extend up into the infrastructure, give the boat a sporty, edgy personality and are its signature features. The Main Deck contains the owner’s suite and offers the possibility of five cabins, in what is an almost unique feature for a boat this size.
The extensive use of carbon fiber, for the hardtop, roll-bar, Flydeck, superstructure and transom, has made it possible to extend the space available without increasing the yacht’s weight, resulting in better performance in the water, unprecedented comfort on board and very generously sized convivial and private spaces.
The interiors by Achille Salvagni stand out for their flowing lines, which enhance the contrasts between colours and materials. The furniture consists of unique items, designed and made to measure by expert craftsmen.
Azimut Grande 35METRI, making its debut on the US market, has received a remarkable four international awards in recent months, the most recent being “Best New Production Yacht Design” at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards 2018.
Making its entry onto the market in September 2017, the 35 is the biggest yacht yet built by the shipyard and offers unprecedented solutions for a boat this size, drawing on carbon fiber technology and the expertise of Stefano Righini, who defined the concept and designed the exteriors.
The Grande 35METRI is a Wide Body RPH (Raised Pilot House) yacht with sleek exteriors, featuring exceptionally sized full-height windows. Unique in this category is the option to add an additional Sundeck, offering almost 30 square meters on a third level, with access from the Upper Deck in the stern. This solution doesn’t affect the balance of volumes and retains the model’s overall dynamism. The entire superstructure and the hardtop are built from pure carbon fiber, alternating with epoxy resin.
The third and last yacht to receive its American premiere is the Azimut 60, an 18-meter model designed once again by Stefano Righini. The distinctive exterior style features are the vertical bow and the big pilothouse windows, which on the starboard side are full-height, offering an unprecedented view of the sea thanks to the cutaway gunwales next to the saloon. The numerous relaxation areas, including one in the bow, offer unique islands of privacy on a boat this size.
