“After having raced with the Melges 24 and the 20s we are ready to open up this 2015 season in great style: at the Marina di Loano 18 boats are docked, showing the great interest of this sailing season with the World Championship as the top event taking place in Trapani, Sicily in August – says Simoneschi after a pretty long and hard training day – Last week with the Audi Melges 20 we did not give our best on one hand for the racing course complexity on the other hand for some problems with the boat’s fine tuning that we hope to solve before next racing in Porto Venere in May.”
We do remind that Audi g-tron – Audi Italia Sailing Team Melges 20 crew comprises Marco Perazzo (helmsman), Riccardo Simoneschi (tactician) and Federico Buscaglia (trimmer).
Last weekend’s act was won by Dario Levi’s Fremito d’Arja over Lucifer and Out of Reach.
The Audi Italia Sailing Team season is supported by main sponsor Audi, official Sponsor F.lli Giacomel, Official partner Kuehne+Nagel, technical partners Torqeedo and Usail.
