Audi tron Sailing Series Melges 32
In Riva del Garda the victory goes to Robertissima
Riva del Garda, June 7th 2015 – Northern Garda is Robertissima’s kingdom (Tomasini Grinover-Vascotto, 6-1): in Riva del Garda less than a year ago the team grabbed another victory at the Melges 32 European Championship, Roberto Tomasini Grinover’s crew has conquered today the third act of the Audi tron Sailing Series, winning the “King of the Lake” title.
American teams Delta (Devos-McKee, 5-17) and Argo (Carroll-Appleton, 1-19) have been beaten after a hard fought race. Jason Carroll’s crew two-time world champions could get back on the podium after yesterday’s less performing day, instead today G Spot (Serena di Lapigio-Brcin, 10-12), did not give its best ending up fourth and fifth.
This act’s top five has been completed by Stig (Rombelli-Bruni, 2-7): winner in Loano that could skilfully get back on track collecting some single digit positions.
Among the ten best teams hosted by the Fraglia Vela Riva, organised by B.Plan Sport&Events in cooperation with Melges Europe, we also have Synergy (Zavadnikov-Horton, 7-10), 2014 Audi tron Sailing Series winner and Torpyone (Lupi-Bressani, 14-15), “King of the Poets” in Porto Venere.
Three acts have already gone by and the Audi tron Sailing Series are taking some weeks of rest, next Melges 32 races will be held 10th July in Porto Ercole followed by the Audi Melges 20s and the Melges 24.
Also this weekend Audi test drives were back in Riva del Garda by the Audi Hospitality where all car lovers have had the possibility to drive the latest flagship models such as the S3, SQ5,S5, TT Roadster and A3 e-tron.
