ANTIBES YACHT SHOW 2013 RESUME

The 7th Antibes Yacht Show closes its door on a very successful note. The organisers are happy the attendance keeps on growing. Over 15 000 visitors came to visit the show this year. Buyers from China and the USA came for the sole purpose of seeing the yachts at the show. Offers were made on yachts, deals were concluded.

Overall exhibitors were again happy with the quality of visitors that come to the show. This comforts Antibes Yacht Show’s position as the first show for brokerage and charter before the season. The free WIFI provided by Global Marine Communications was a real success. Exhibitors and visitors alike enjoyed this service offered for the first time at a yacht show. Another world wide first was the live auction of yachts at the show. It took place in the VIP lounge and saw the MY Lone Ranger sell for 750 000€! A real deal! A very full refit department, with famous refit shipyards, equipment and services testify of the importance of refit at the show. The Crew Lounge organised this year by Acrew and its partners was a big success, the Captains’ Lounge was again highly attended and the new Chef Lounge organised by Gourmet Deliveries was very popular. Chefs appreciated to have an area dedicated to them and their art. There was also art in the VIP as Kees Verkade exhibited his wonderful pieces in the lounge. Antibes Yacht Show was very happy to help The Water of Hope Association for their raffle. The Association collected € 1975 which will represent 7 wells for the children of Cambodia. Thanks again to Air France for a very generous 1st prize. A very successful show indeed, which we hope, is the start to a very fruitful season for all the participants. See you again in April 2014.
