Alumarine Shipyard: a new sailing catamaran under construction ALUMARINE 48

ALUMARINEAfter the launch of the first model in this new range in July 2013,
the Alumarine Shipyard is starting the construction of a new sailing
catamaran developed in partnership with the naval architect Pierre
Delion.
Designed from strict specifications, this new 15-meter catamaran
built in aluminium is well suited for long distance cruising and offers
many advantages: robustness with its aluminium structure, hull
performance, comfort, functional design and ease of manoeuvring.
Specialists in custom aluminium shipbuilding, the Alumarine
Shipyard and the Delion naval architecture office have developed
a custom layout to suit the needs of the owner.
Delivery is scheduled for August 2014.

Built in aluminium, robust and custom Extremely resistant to wear and tear while remaining lightweight, aluminium is the most adapted material for long distance cruising boats. This catamaran is above all very safe with her aluminium hull and superstructure. The aluminium construction also allows you to adapt the deck plan and the layouts as needed, which makes the boat fully customizable. Ready for long distance cruising This catamaran includes all the essential equipments for long distance cruising and circum navigation, a technical room, large storage capacities and substantial tanks for self-sufficiency on long distance cruises. Easy and pleasant to sail Well powered and with her straight keels, she is fast and very pleasant to sail. From the conception, performance has been taken into account with thin hulls and light weight accommodation. Her deck layout has been designed to simplify life on board with a floor on one level that facilitates circulation. The saloon opens onto a forward cockpit, a new welcoming area, very pleasant both at anchor and during navigation. The door to the forward cockpit also allows easy access on deck when needed. Totally unique, two very functional integrated side doors can be installed on the starboard side and portside for easy boarding from the pier. These doors are very convenient when manoeuvring in the harbour. All the areas of the main deck are on the same level, allowing easy access to the interior and exterior areas. Inside the cockpit, the helmsman is well protected from sun and rain thanks to the hard top. The helmsman seat is elevated behind the saloon bulkhead and all manoeuvres are centralized, allowing you to have a clear deck and to sail the boat alone or with a small crew. Comfortable and custom fitted This catamaran offers spacious, functional and fully customizable accommodation. The layout of the boat has been carefully considered. In addition to the spacious saloon and galley on portside, a bathroom, a watch bed and a chart table on the forward starboard side allow an efficient watch. A very useful technical room or drying wardrobe can be fitted at the entrance of the saloon on starboard side. Depending on the owner needs, the hulls can be fitted with 3 or 4 cabins with plenty of storage.
