Headquartered in Newport, Rhode Island, Vanquish brings you time-tested classic designs, the pride of generational craftsmen and the advantage of today’s exciting new materials and technologies. Vanquish direct drive inboard models are offered in either gas or diesel power and their hull is equipped with a unique propeller and shaft pocket which provides a very modest 22-inch draft. Yard’s outboard models offer exceptional performance with best-in-class fuel economy. Either power package provides a balanced feel and an exceptionally smooth ride, a trademark characteristic of all Vanquish.

Vanquish Boats has taken Doug Zurn’s exclusive bow forward design to the next level, creating even more room for movement in the cockpit area and fostering an uncluttered feeling.

The cozy and inviting bow seating provides everything you need at your fingertips to enjoy a day on the water. A large L-shape settee aft provides plenty of seating so no one is left behind. The integrated wet bar with your choice of sink or barbeque grill and the enclosed head under the port console ensures that the fun goes on all day.

The standard equipment list is extensive, with such items as isolated starting and house batteries, an Edson steering wheel, aluminum fuel tanks, and silicon bronze through-hulls below the waterline (stainless steel above)

All these features built to their unwavering standard of construction slice through the waves on the famed Vanquish hull. This is a boat that is truly in a class of her own.  With its tumblehome aft and “classy” looks, the Vanquish 26 ample deck space for seating and storage and a versatile layout.

The 26 was the first outboard model in the Vanquish lineup, which includes a 24-foot center console and runabout and a 26-foot center console. The outboard setup made more sense because an inboard’s engine box would deprive the boat of deck space.
Vanquish Yachts wanted Zurn to retain the narrow hull design that gives the other Vanquish models their smooth ride. The 3-to-1 length-to-beam ratio is really important for ride quality and also helps with fuel efficiency. The use of lightweight materials plays a role with fuel economy as well. Vanquish builds each boat with carbon-fiber reinforcement in the stringer grid and a cored bottom that’s vacuum-bagged with vinyl-ester resin.
With a Mercury Verado 200 as standard engine, the Vanquish tops out at 52 mph and cruises at 38 mph. At 38 mph, the engine burns about 9 gph for a mileage rating of nearly 4 mpg. With the throttle pegged, she gets nearly 2 mpg, so go ahead and peg it.
