Boston Whaler receives Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index Award during the Miami International Boat Show
Boston Whaler received its 13th consecutive Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Award from the National Marine Manufacturer’s Association (NMMA), as announced during the annual Industry Breakfast at the 2016 Miami International Boat Show. As one of only 46 recipients of the honor, Boston Whaler was awarded in the Fiberglass Outboard Boats category.
“We’re thrilled to have earned this recognition,” said Boston Whaler President Huw Bower. “We are driven to provide our customers with a superior boating experience, every time out. The CSI Award speaks to the hard work and commitment of our talented team, as well as the dedication of our world-class dealership network.”
The Marine Industry CSI Awards honor manufacturers who actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve the customer. Recipients of the award achieved and maintained an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past program year, based on information provided by customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between April 1, 2015 and December 31, 2015. Starting with 2016, the program year will follow the calendar year, with the annual award recipient announcement to be held during the Miami Boat Show.
“Measuring our customers’ satisfaction lets us know more about what they are thinking, what they are saying, and allows us to learn and adapt, ultimately reaching a point where we have truly earned their praise,” said Robert Newsome, vice president of
engineering standards for NMMA. “We congratulate these 46 manufacturers for their commitment to their customers and creating exceptional boat ownership experiences.”
