Oceanic YachtsOceanic Yachts works in progress

Oceanic Yachts – the exciting new line of yachts built at Cantiere Navale di Ostia – Canados – has the pleasure to announce that the works in progress for both hull #1 of Oceanic 90′ are proceeding quickly and following the milestones of the main projects schedule while hull #1 of the 140′ Dielec will be pushed to spring of 2015 due to client’s wish to modify some elements of the interior design.
Oceanic 90’ – Hull # 1 Work in progress and definitive color decided
The first Oceanic 90′ in its standard version – already been sold – is due to be delivered mid-June 2014. As for the first Oceanic 90′ the shipyard announces that the works are progressing according to plans with the first deck of the yacht’s superstructure already installed, partition of the lower and main deck completed, engines, tanks and generator installed. Electrical wiring and piping are 90% completed and ceiling installed. In another shed, the joinery shop is has completed the furniture and is currently processing with the finish and wood veneers. Late March 2014 yard was getting ready for the installation of the upper deck which will be devoted to the Owner’s suite. Owner decided for a grey color for hull while white has been chosen for the superstructure.

The twin-stepped hull reduces friction and increases low speed performance and stability, thanks to a specifically designed bulb tank tested at the Italian Naval Institute. The result is a unique composite built expedition yacht of 43-meters capable of 5,400 nautical miles range at 8.5 knots (less than 50 liters/13 US gallons per hour fuel consumption), but also keen on cruising between 22 and 24-knots, with a top speed close to 27 knots.
This concept offers the best of both displacement and semi-planning configurations, more specifically displacement at speeds under 14-knots and semi-planning above that speed. In general, displacement speeds offer lower consumption and longer range, while semi-planning offers higher performances.
Oceanic 140’ – Hull # 1 Work in progress
For this first Oceanic 140′ (in its DiElec version) the shipyard announces that the lamination of the hull and its partition have already been completed with the superstructure construction running along with deck partition and installation. During the month of March 2014 the main deck lamination as well as the bulb have been completed as well.
The completion of this first 140’ model have been rescheduled for the spring of 2015 due to the owner’s decision to make some changes to the interior design.
The Oceanic 140’ Dielec will be introduced to the public at the Cannes and Monaco shows in 2015.
