Omaya Yachts’ CEO named in Forbes 30 Under 30

Omaya Yachts CEO and co-founder Kaloyan Radulov has been named in Forbes Bulgaria 30 under 30. The prestigious list, which Forbes’ different editions compile annually, aims to recognise young individuals making significant contributions in their respective fields.

Radulov’s family-owned business, the Elica Group, based on the banks of the Danube in Bulgaria, announced the launch of its luxury power catamaran brand Omaya Yachts earlier this year. Its first model, the OMAYA 50, is due for completion in early 2025.

“I am excited to be included in such an important selection of individuals and hope it inspires other young people within my community to push for their entrepreneurial hopes and dreams,” said Kaloyan.

As well as leading Omaya Yachts growth internationally, Radulov is admirable in his efforts to make a difference within his community, both with young entrepreneurs in the Teenovator high school mentoring programme and non-profit organisation Future for Silistra, which is a volunteer initiative to enhance life in the town of Silistra, Bulgaria.

Future for Silistra, led by a newly-elected president and a 19-member team, works weekly to improve the Silistra community. It has organised a children’s charity football tournament, built a playground at a Special Educational Needs school, supported a teenage acting school, and produced interviews with ‘Academy for Local Entrepreneurs’ alumni to highlight local small and medium businesses and encourage economic growth. In line with economic growth, the NGO’s latest initiative is a Business Camp for young entrepreneurs (19-29) that offers startup training and prize funding.

Radulov believes that we need to work for our future today, and our future is the generations after us. “Investing in the next generation is crucial for our collective future and engaging with young people and transferring our experience and wisdom, we help ensure a better future for everyone. To thrive, we need to take care of our communities, enrich them so they can prosper and encourage growth. Our work in Silistra to enhance the local economy will make Silistra an attractive place for young people to stay or return to after their studies or travels.”
