The popular Vene 24 Båt Helsinki International Boat Show is the annual meeting place for Nordic boating enthusiasts
Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 24 Båt, annually showcases over 400 new boats, boating accessories and equipment, as well as products related to fishing and water activities. The largest boating event in Northern Europe is a popular event among Finnish boating enthusiasts and attracts international interest. Helsinki International Boat Show will be held on 9-18 February 2024 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.
One in five Finns owns a boat. Finns are a boating nation, and the Finnish boat industry is robust. Vene 24 Båt attracts interest in boats of all sizes and price ranges. The annual number of visitors to the event is almost 70,000. The significance of the Helsinki International Boat Show continues to grow each year. “Boat sales reached record levels in the exceptional COVID-19 years. Boating is of interest, and the boat show provides a unique opportunity to compare wide selection of boats and find the right one for oneself,” says Jarkko Pajusalo, CEO of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat.
Helsinki International Boat Show features the annual selection of Boats of the Vene Båt Show by Nordic boating magazine journalists, highlighting the most interesting open boats, weekender or commuter boats, as well as cabin cruisers. In 2023 the Open Boat of the Show was Terhi 390, the Weekender or Commuter of the Show was Quarken 27 and the Cabin Cruiser of the Show was Grandezza 30 CA.
Vene 23 Båt Show is continuously evolving. The goal is to stay at the forefront of development. In addition to presenting new products, visitors are offered high-quality programs related to motor boating and sailing. Attendees will hear stories from the world’s seas, receive guidance on choosing a motorboat, and learn about boat maintenance. This year, the fishing area will feature fly fishing in addition to trolling for the first time. The wave area will include diving, paddleboarding, and other water activities.
Event sustainability taken care
When it comes to sustainability, the organizer Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre is a pioneer in the events industry. 99 % of waste is utilized. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre is the climate partner of the City of Helsinki and has one of the largest solar power plants in Helsinki. It has energy saving program extending to 2025 and is awarded by Motiva and the Energy Agency as an energy-savvy event venue.
Environmental management system has been ISO 14001-certified since 2009. Sustainability is a central part of strategy. The Centre bear responsibility for people, the environment, and financial sustainability. In the hope of being 110% carbon neutral by 2029, it also helps clients make sustainable choices. After the pandemic, Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre has started preparing for the changes brought about by the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).It reports sustainability information in accordance with the UN’s sustainable development goals. Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre was the first in the industry to publish an SDG-based sustainability report in 2020.
The most largest boating event in Northern Europe
Helsinki International Boat Show, Vene 24 Båt, will take place on 9-18 February 2024 at the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. The event is organized annually by the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on behalf of the Finnish Marine Industries Federation Finnboat – now for the 53rd time.
