Privilege Marine
Privilege Marine – Gilles WAGNER, current CEO of Privilège Marine SAS, is in the process of acquiring 100% of the shares of the company, and this, with private investor(s). This operation is validated from a commercial point of view but remains subject to legal agreements and conditions.
The finalization should be done no later than autumn 2022.
As a reminder, the company had restarted on the site of Les Sables d’Olonne in June 2012 following the acquisition of the brands and some assets of the company Alliaura Marine then based in Lanester, close to Lorient (France).
In May 2017, Gilles WAGNER sold the shares of his partner to the Aurélius group, which itself sold these shares to Hanse Yachts Ag in 2019.
« June 2022 is to be a new turning point since the approach that I have taken, in agreement with the Presidency of Hanse Yachts Ag, essentially follows a gap in the economic model; we are on a B to C economic model, Hanse Yachts Ag is in B to B, our manufacturing times range from 12 to 24 months, Hanse Yachts Ag in several weeks, but also by the fact that Hanse Yachts Ag wanted to focus on the development of its 6 main brands, which are also experiencing a strong growth. It is therefore an operation carried out by mutual agreement and in a common interest. »
This operation will have no impact on the social part of Privilège Marine Sas which will continue to work in the strategy started 10 years ago; Taking the brand to the highest level in the world, Privilege, legendary catamarans!
Our order book, up to 60 million euros, as well as a substantial contribution in equity, associated with a now completely renewed range, from the Privilège Signature 510 to the Privilège Signature 750, will allow us to start this new chapter in a serene way. We have 250 people on our site and we are always looking to hire production staff, in all areas of yachting.
We should end the current financial year with a turnover of around 14 million euros and we are already planning 20 million euros for next year.
