Dominator launches new Office in Porto Montenegro
As work progresses on two beautiful Dominator Ilumen yachts, MY ZALANKA and MY CADET, Dominator announces the opening of a new office in Porto Montenegro, one of the prime yachting centres of the Mediterranean.
Dominator Ilumen is growing, and the 1st of May saw the official opening of its new sales and client support centre in Marina Porto Montenegro, where new and existing yacht owners are looked after with the style and efficiency for which the brand has become renowned.

Sneak Peek of Work in Progress
Each Dominator Ilumen yacht is a personal work of art that expresses the taste and lifestyle of its owner, in order to become a unique, one-off masterpiece on the seas. This is as true of the technology pulsing ‘under the skin’ as it is of the specifications, layout, decoration and finishing of the yacht.
The owner of CADET V has chosen to include the sensual art pieces of renowned Stefano Curto in his Dominator Ilumen. Working with hand-crafted Swarovski crystals and minerals, he creates sensuous plexiglass canvases that dazzle the eye and mesmerise the senses as light journeys through their rich tapestry of colours and patterns to captivating visual effect.
“I’m a nomad inspired by the dance of light and colour produced by mother earth and the dance of emotion made by the human spirit,” says the artist himself. “As they move and evolve, so does my inspiration. As a result, every project I work on reminds me of the fluidity of life and the fact that there are no constants, no guarantees, only an everlasting evolution of impressions and experiences.”
Stefano Curto relishes this voyage and expresses it in his work. He met a kindred spirit in Angela Pernsteiner and the Dominator Ilumen team, who similarly delight in the pursuit of excellence in which any discipline, be it engineering or design, becomes an art form, not an industry. “Knowing where on the yacht the art pieces would be positioned and that they would form part of a journey inspired me to create art made to shine in the sea.”
The interior dressing of MY CADET V is taking shape as well, using three tonalities of the finest quality oak enhanced with richly grained palisander wood. The floors feature hand-laid custom parquet, while the interior in bespoke tones of blue and grey reflect the colour palette of the sea.
The semi-displacement hull of MY ZALANKA, a gorgeous bespoke Dominator Ilumen 28M yacht, is reaching completion too. Fitted with Reintjes pod propulsion, its specifications are made-to-measure for its owner, who can’t wait to experience his beautiful vessel first-hand.
MY ZALANKA reflects the owner’s personality and passion for the sea as his personal involvement in design and technical choices is second to none. When he first saw the finishing of his specially composed metallic bronze hull colour, he was tremendously excited and touched as all the Dominator Ilumen team. This individualised tonality will turn heads at sea and adds further to the uniqueness of this one-off masterpiece.
Dominator Ilumen is proud to offer owners an upscale high-tech construction in post-cured glass and carbon mixed with epoxy resin to the full use of epoxy filler cycle and the application of the Awlcraft painting cycle that is incomparable to the common, low cost gel coats and polyester fiberglasses usually used on yachts this size. With this new construction method of fiberglass, Dominator Ilumen does not only offer 10 years of warranty to the structure but also an infinite choice of completely bespoke colour choices within this painting system that is known to be used on mega yachts only.
MY ZALANKA and MY CADET will be an evolution of the Dominator Ilumen 28 series with further enhancement on technological aspects and the integration of many interior details and suggestions taken from key users such as experienced yacht owners and captains as well as industry experts. The two 28M Ilumen to be presented this summer are the very embodiment of a very personal and fulfilling process that has led from the drawing board to a magnificent craft whose very seagoing style, amenities and beautiful materials are a real, tactile experience, and no doubt the starting point of many wonderful moments for the owners.
