Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta
Expertly organised by the YCCS Race Committee under Principal Race Officer Peter Craig, four days of racing will take place against the stunning backdrop of the La Maddalena archipelago. Participants include Barry Houghton’s 45m Salperton, winner of the Caribbean edition of the Loro Piana Regatta in March of this year, the 45m Wally-built Saudade and the award-winning, ultra-modern Zefira, the largest yacht in the fleet at just under 50 metres. In addition to the regatta fleet, VIP guests of the event will have the opportunity to spectate the racing from the comfort of the host yacht, the 39m luxury sailing yacht Renaissance, listed for sale and charter with Equinoxe Yachts.he Mediterranean superyacht season is set for a thrilling start as the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda welcomes twenty-one exceptional sailing yachts for the sixth edition of the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, taking place 4 – 8 June.
The event has fast become a popular fixture on the Mediterranean racing circuit. A diverse fleet of competitors represent the cream of international superyacht design and construction, hailing from some of the world’s leading shipyards including gold sponsor Fitzroy Yachts, Oyster Yachts, Perini Navi, Royal Huisman and Southern Wind Shipyard.

In addition to the thrilling action out on the water, participants can look forward to a first-class social programme centred around the YCCS Clubhouse in Porto Cervo Marina. Yacht owners and crew members will come together this evening at the Welcome Cocktail Party at YCCS; all participants will be treated to a Pizza Party in the Piazza with live entertainment, courtesy of Sardinia Yacht Services, and the Loro Piana Owners’ Dinner at the YCCS on Wednesday evening promises to be a night to remember. The Sunset Party at Phi Beach will close the social programme in spectacular style on the final night.
